      Description

Gastronome 2009 from Pierre Gimonnet is unusual in that it is a young vintage champagne. Made exclusively from Chardonnays from the Grand Cru terroirs of Chouilly, Cramant, Oger and the Premier Cru terroir of Cuis, it is a Blanc de Blancs which offers a superb harmony of freshness, minerality and expression.

The presence of wines from the Oger terroir, for only the second time in this cuvee Gastronome, adds body and substance.

Presentation of Olivier et Didier Gimonnet

We were looking for the expression, the complexity and the richness of a vintage champagne, but with the freshness of a young cuvee. Originally created for the restaurant trade, it has been made with a particularly fine effervescence which does not interfere with the palate or perturb the taste buds.
