The Special Club Cramant Grand Cru 2015 from Maison Pierre Gimonnet & Fils highlights the character of the Cramant terroir, one of the most famous villages in the Côte des Blancs.
Traditionally, the Special Club cuvée showcases the best of Maison Gimonnet's expertise by blending different terroirs from the estate. However, since the 2012 vintage, Didier and Olivier Gimonnet have been producing special editions of the Special Club. This is the case here with a cuvée made exclusively from the Grand Cru terroir of Cramant.
This is a Blanc de Blancs champagne made from a blend of parcels, all located in the Cramant terroir. It comprises 34.5% from the "Gros Monts" and "Au-dessus du Gros Mont" lieux-dits, 6% from the "Buissons" lieu-dit, 10.2% from the "Bauves" lieu-dit, 31% from the "Bateau" vineyard, 8.4% from the "Bionnes" vineyard and 9.1% from the "Champ du Prévot" vineyard.
This cuvée is vinified in stainless steel vats to preserve its exceptional freshness. Its Extra-Brut dosage highlights the liveliness and minerality of this cuvée.
The Spécial Club Cramant Grand Cru 2015 is a cuvée with fruity and spicy aromas. Its palate is lively and mineral, with a touch of roundness. The finish is remarkable, taut and fresh.
