Philipponnat champagnes bear witness to the history and specificities of this champagne house. The Cuvée Royale pays tribute to the founders, vineyard owners and suppliers of champagne to King Louis XIV of France . It is a harmonious champagne offering excellent value. Cuvée 1522 is named after the year that this family established themselves in Champagne and is made from some of their most remarkable vines offering a champagne with superb balance between richness and freshness. Clos des Goisses takes its name from an exceptional vineyard which they acquired in 1935. Orientated full south, it extends over 5,5 ha at Mareuil-sur-Aÿ and produces what is the most prestigious of their champagnes. Philipponnat’s vintage champagnes are highly reputed, and if each vintage has its own style, they all have something in common – their elegant vinosity.
