Louis Roederer is one of the last great independent family-owned champagne houses. Based in Reims since 1776, it cultivates nearly 240 hectares of vineyards in the best terroirs (Montagne de Reims, Vallée de la Marne, Côte des Blancs). The three grape varieties—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier —are cultivated using biodynamic methods. The result is champagnes of remarkable finesse.
The iconic brut, formerly known as Brut Premier, has become the numbered Cuvée Collection. The house also produces exceptional vintages, a Blanc de Blancs, a Vintage Rosé, a Brut Nature created with Philippe Starck, and the prestigious Cristal cuvée, created in 1876 for Tsar Alexander II.

With over 240 hectares of vineyards located exclusively in Premier and Grand Cru classified terroirs, Louis Roederer cultivates one of the most beautiful vineyards in the region. The House committed early on to a transition to responsible viticulture, with biodynamic plots and meticulous attention to biodiversity. This autonomy allows for exceptional harvests, vintage after vintage.
Energy, freshness, verticality: Roederer champagnes are characterized by a tactile and luminous signature. Precision work, from the soil to the winemaking process, gives rise to cuvées of remarkable intensity, with a silky mouthfeel and perfectly integrated minerality. Partial or total malolactic fermentation is often used to preserve the purity of the fruit.

Serve between 10 and 12°C in a tulip or universal glass. Le Cristal is superb with truffled poultry or turbot in a hollandaise sauce. The Collection cuvée flourishes with dried fruits or vegetable dishes. The Brut Nature Rosé 2015 excels with sashimi or a citrus salad with fresh herbs.
A modern and evolving blend, Collection 245 replaces Brut Premier. The iconic Cristal bottle has a perfectly flat bottom. Louis Roederer created it in 1876 at the request of Tsar Alexander II, who was concerned that a classic hollow shape would conceal... a bomb! The shape has remained unchanged ever since. It is one of the few champagnes whose bottle was designed before the wine. A detail that reminds us how, at Roederer, history and innovation always go hand in hand.
