This champagne house was founded in 1812 at Tours-sur-Marne by André-Michel Pierlot, who was succeeded by the cellarmaster Eugène Laurent and then his wife Mathilde Emilie Perrier, from whom the current name of Laurent-Perrier is derived. The domain is situated at the confluence of the three main champagne growing regions of the Marne : the Montagne de Reims, the Marne valley and the Côte des Blancs. The spirit of innovation of its successive managers has created champagnes which are ever more fresh, refined and elegant. The cuvée Grand Siècle reunites the best vintages and the finest grape varieties from the most qualitative parcels, and is presented in a bottle with an elegant rounded profile inspired by the very first bottles used for champagne. The free-run technique used for the Cuvée Rosé Brut also contributes to its unique style.
