The Chouilly Grand Cru 2014 by Gimonnet is a typical Blanc de Blancs champagne, a delicate cuvée, full of finesse, with an elegant and creamy palate.
This champagne is made from Chardonnay grapes grown exclusively in the Grand Cru terroir of Chouilly, more specifically from several plots located in the Montaigu area.
The harvest took place from September 16 to 2014, under ideal weather conditions.
The Chouilly Grand Cru 2014 Gimonnet is vinified in stainless steel vats to bring out the tension and purity of the terroir. It was bottled in April 2015 before spending four years in the cellars of the house to refine its aromas.
This is an Extra Brut champagne (4.5g/L) with a very delicate nose and lovely floral notes. On the second nose, pastry and gourmet aromas come to the fore.
On the palate, the Chouilly Grand Cru 2014 opens with a fresh but not sharp attack. The texture of the wine is silky, creamy, and delicate, with beautiful notes of citrus and white fruit.
This is a superb cuvée that will easily find its place as an aperitif.
