The 1999 vintage was characterized by severe frosts in November with temperatures dropping to -14°C. The winter was a combination of rain, snow, and cold, but also mild weather and sunshine. The somewhat contrasting spring ended with beautiful blossoming.
This champagne is made from 52% Chardonnay and 48% Pinot Noir, harvested in the Grands Crus vineyards of the Côte des Blancs with Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant, Oger and Chouilly, and those of the Montagne de Reims with Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne.
This 1999 vintage has a bright golden color.
The nose reveals floral and citrus notes. The palate evokes beautiful fruity notes of strawberry, supported by a lingering finish with a touch of freshness.
This exceptional champagne should be served between 40°F and 55°F to avoid dulling its rich aromas and flavors.
This Brut Millésimé 1999 cuvée is the perfect accompaniment to smoked salmon or fruit desserts such as plum tart or mirabelle plum tart.
