Description
Every vintage is an event at Laurent-Perrier, and this 1997 vintage is no exception. This cuvée respects the House's canons, combining freshness and elegance, airiness and richness. Exceptionally, Laurent-Perrier has opened the doors of its oenotheque to offer a few magnums of its Brut Millésimé 1997, to be tasted on April 22, 2021.
The year began with polar cold, followed by severe spring frosts, thunderstorms and hail. However, a beautiful flowering and a very warm August enabled us to obtain a high degree of alcohol and sustained acidity. Elegance and finesse are the hallmarks of this fine 1997 vintage.
This champagne is made from 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, harvested in the Grands Crus vineyards of the Côte des Blancs with Le Mesnil-sur-Oger, Cramant, Oger and Chouilly, and those of the Montagne de Reims with Bouzy, Verzy and Verzenay.
From these unique Crus of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir, only the cuvée is used.
This exceptional champagne should be served between 10 and 12°C, so as not to dull the richness of its fragrances and flavors.
This Brut Millésimé 1997 cuvée is ideal with refined dishes such as fine fish or seafood.
