The magnum of Royale Réserve by Philipponnat is pure enchantment. It is a champagne that elegantly combines richness, freshness, and vinosity.
A blend of the three traditional Champagne grape varieties: Pinot Noir (40 to 50%), Chardonnay (30 to 35%) and Pinot Meunier (15 to 25%), this cuvée also contains 20 to 40% reserve wines, which add a touch of complexity.
Part of this blend is aged in oak barrels to achieve this touch of complexity and vinosity.
The Royale Réserve Philipponnat has a beautiful golden color with amber highlights.
On the nose, this champagne opens with notes of white flowers, then evolves towards more complex aromas of citrus, brioche, and honey.
On the palate, this cuvée reveals itself with a fresh and lively attack, then unveils its fruity aromas. It is a well-structured cuvée with an elegant vinosity and a full body.
The finish is beautiful, with a delicious biscuit note.
