      Description

The 2018 vintage of Philipponnat champagne is undoubtedlythe cuvée that best symbolizes the Philipponnat style. With its full-bodied structure, remarkable freshness, and spicy notes, it is ideal as an aperitif or to accompany fine dishes.

      The production of Philipponnat's 1522 2018 champagne

The 2018 1522 vintage is composed of 69% Pinot Noir, mainly from the historic "Léon" plot in Ay and Verzy, and 31% Chardonnay from the Mesnil-sur-Oger vineyard. These grapes, exclusively sourced from Grands Crus, guarantee exceptional quality.

Part of the wine is vinified in wood and does not undergo malolactic fermentation, which preserves its natural freshness while adding complexity. This cuvée is extra brut, with only 4.25 g/L of sugar. After five years of aging in the cellar, the champagne reveals a perfect harmony between freshness and maturity.

      The 2018 vintage

The year 2018 offered ideal weather conditions for Champagne. After a rainy spring, the hot, dry summer allowed the grapes to ripen perfectly. This vintage is distinguished by rich, balanced Pinot Noirs and Chardonnays marked by vibrant freshness and mineral notes.
