Carte Jaune in magnum is one of the world's most famous cuvées. This non-vintage champagne embodies Veuve Clicquot's mastery of the art of blending. The cuvée is dominated by 50 to 55% Pinot Noir, which gives it its assertive structure and depth. Chardonnay (28 to 33%) adds finesse and elegance, while Meunier (15 to 20%) brings a touch of roundness and suppleness.
This cuvée is made from a blend of 50 to 60 carefully selected crus from the best terroirs in Champagne. The reserve wines, which can represent up to 45% of the blend, are sometimes kept for up to 30 years, ensuring continuity of style and exceptional aromatic depth.
The wine is aged in the cellar for at least 30 months, well beyond the appellation requirements, to achieve optimal complexity and maturity. The dosage, adjusted to 9 g/L, ensures a subtle balance between liveliness, structure, and freshness, allowing this cuvée to shine in all its aspects.
Veuve Clicquot Carte Jaune in magnum has a bright color with golden highlights and delicate, dynamic bubbles that evoke a promise of freshness.
On the nose, this cuvée offers a captivating bouquet of stone fruits such as peach and apricot, enhanced by notes of toasted brioche and a subtle hint of vanilla, which emerge with aeration.
On the palate, the attack is lively, revealing a full and generous structure. Flavors of peach, candied lemon, and a delicate touch of minerality linger on a long, refined finish, typical of the Veuve Clicquot style.
The magnum is the preferred format for storing champagne. Due to the lower amount of air in relation to the volume of wine, the magnum allows for slower and more harmonious aging, preserving the freshness and complexity of the aromas for longer. This format is also ideal for moments of conviviality, whether for a large celebration or an intimate dinner where you want to share a great champagne in the best possible conditions.
The price of a magnum of Veuve Clicquot Carte Jaune is 104,95 €. This price reflects the quality of the selected grapes and the unique expertise of the house. Perfect for special occasions, it guarantees an unforgettable tasting experience.
