Veuve Clicquot's Carte Jaune champagne is a non-vintage cuvée that perfectly embodies the house's expertise, with its unique blending skills. This champagne is mainly composed of Pinot Noir (50 to 55%), a grape variety that brings structure and robustness to the wine. Chardonnay (28 to 33%) adds a touch of elegance and finesse, while Meunier (15 to 20%) adds a subtle roundness.
The vinification process involves blending no less than 50 to 60 crus. A significant proportion of reserve wines (up to 45%) is added, bringing aromatic depth and ensuring the continuity of the Veuve Clicquot style. These reserve wines, carefully preserved, come from vintages that can be up to 30 years old, giving the champagne remarkable intensity and complexity.
The champagne is aged in the cellars for a minimum of 30 months to achieve optimal maturity. The dosage is perfectly balanced at 9 g/L, resulting in a champagne that is powerful, expressive, and fresh.
Veuve Clicquot Carte Jaune has a golden color, illuminated by sparkling highlights.
On the nose, this cuvée seduces with notes of yellow and white fruits, such as peach and pear, followed by subtle hints of vanilla and brioche, which blossom with aeration.
On the palate, the attack is marked by both beautiful power and great freshness. Aromas of peaches and lemon and a delicately mineral finish enhance the tasting experience. This cuvée offers remarkable length.
