The 2014 Cristal Rosé vintage from Louis Roederer Champagne, bottled and presented in an elegant box, is a model of precision, finesse, and intensity. Made from a perfectly mastered blend, this vintage reveals ripe, tangy fruit, a silky texture, and a strikingly deep, salty finish. A rare and distinguished champagne for special occasions.
Cristal Rosé 2014 is the result of meticulous work, combining rigorous winemaking, parcel selection and careful aging. It is a champagne of terroir and vision, faithfully reflecting the expression of an iconic vineyard.
The cuvée is made from:
This Cristal Rosé 2014 comes half from the "La Rivière" vineyard and half from "La Côte." The main crus are Aÿ (Pinot Noir), Avize and Mesnil-sur-Oger (Chardonnay). These terroirs, with their well-drained chalky soil and optimal exposure, have beautifully expressed their potential despite unpredictable weather. The harvest took place from September 11 to 21, 2014.
19% of the wines are aged in wood to enhance complexity without weighing down the structure. Malolactic fermentation is not carried out, preserving the lively freshness and aromatic energy. The dosage is 8 g/L, perfectly integrated into the structure. The winemaking process respects the Roederer house rules: to reveal the wine without ever dressing it up with anything superfluous.
2014 was a year in three acts: a dry, sunny spring, a cool, rainy summer, and a hot, sunny September. This unusual scenario rewarded the well-drained chalky terroirs and virtuous cultivation practices. This combination allowed for balanced ripeness, resulting in intensely fruity, concentrated and vibrant grapes. Cristal Rosé 2014 embodies this dual expression: sunny fullness and taut freshness.
The color of the 2014 Cristal Rosé is light pink, slightly coppery and bright. The effervescence is lively and persistent.
The bouquet is pure, bright and intense. It reveals concentrated red fruit (redcurrant, wild raspberry, blackcurrant) accompanied by tangy and spicy notes. Hints of smoke, undergrowth and raspberry liqueur add a complex and refined dimension.
On the palate, the attack is full, silky and fruity. This is followed by a tense, firm freshness, almost saline. Red fruits explode in the mouth like salt bubbles. The balance is exceptional, between juicy acidity, iodine depth and a delicate smoky note. The finish is sapid, long and carries an impression of umami.
For optimal preservation, store Cristal Rosé 2014 in its box, lying down, in a dark, cool (10-12°C) and stable place. The box protects the bottle from light and temperature fluctuations. Avoid vibrations and fluctuating temperatures.
Thanks to its firm structure, balance and absence of malolactic fermentation, Cristal Rosé 2014 can be kept until 2040. It will evolve slowly and gradually in the cellar, gaining complexity while retaining its sparkling freshness.
Cristal Rosé 2014 is a legendary champagne for grand celebrations, haute cuisine dinners, or as an exceptional gift. It will also be a wonderful addition to an elite champagne collection or for a comparative tasting of great vintages.
Created in 1974, Cristal Rosé is one of the few rosé champagnes to follow such a rigorous terroir and blending philosophy. The 2014 vintage is a true feat: it reveals the paradox of an irregular year sublimated by masterful work in the vineyard. A rare, intense cuvée with a pure and airy style.
The price of Louis Roederer's Cristal Rosé 2014 in a bottle with gift box is 595 €. This price reflects the rarity of the vintage, the rigorous selection of grapes and the uncompromising finesse of the aging process.
Connoisseurs describe it as fresh, precise, full-bodied and mineral. Its pure fruitiness and iodine finish are as appealing as its intense texture. It is often compared to the House's greatest vintages. Reviews of the Cristal Rosé 2014 Louis Roederer

Cristal Rosé is a blended rosé made using Roederer's exclusive method, combining the precision of Pinot Noir with the elegance of Chardonnay, all vinified separately for a unique result.
Serve between 40°F and 50°F to allow the fruitiness and salty notes to express themselves fully without the cold blocking the aromatic complexity.
Yes, this is a cuvée with very long aging potential. It will evolve beautifully in the cellar, gaining roundness, minerality, and tertiary complexity until 2040 and beyond.
