Louis Roederer's 2015 Vintage in magnum, presented in an elegant box, is a work of pure intensity. Its style is distinguished by a remarkable concentration of Pinot Noir from Verzy, juicy and ripe fruit aromas, and a graceful and generous finish. The perfect companion for a refined meal, this champagne embodies the excellence of a spectacular vintage.
Louis Roederer's Vintage 2015 champagne was born from a clear desire to capture the signature of a year marked by sunshine and rare concentration. Carefully crafted, this Louis Roederer vintage is based on a balanced and thoughtful blend that highlights the potential of the house's great terroirs.
The 2015 Vintage cuvée is made from:
The grapes come from the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims (Verzy) and the Côte des Blancs (Chouilly), two iconic regions offering complementary profiles. Verzy, with its deep limestone soils, magnifies the richness of Pinot Noir. Chouilly, with its chalky soils, produces precise and luminous Chardonnays. This duo of terroirs forges the soul of this cuvée.
Louis Roederer takes particular care in the vinification process. For this cuvée, 34% of the wines were aged in wood, enhancing their aromatic complexity. 24% of the juices underwent malolactic fermentation, softening the aromas while maintaining a vibrant tension. The wine is aged for several years on fine lees in the house's historic cellars. The dosage is 8 g/l, positioning the cuvée in the Brut category, with a perfect balance between richness and freshness.
2015 was an exceptional continental year. The winter was mild and wet, followed by a hot, dry summer with peaks of heat. A welcome rain in August allowed for ideal ripening. The result: juicy, concentrated grapes with remarkable maturity. This vintage combines sunny generosity and balanced freshness, offering an intense and racy cuvée.
The 2015 vintage is a deep yellow color with golden and amber highlights. The effervescence is lively and dynamic, reflecting beautiful aging on the lees.
The nose reveals an explosion of tart red fruits (redcurrant) mixed with sun-ripened yellow fruits (mirabelle plum, vine peach). With aeration, aromas of dried fruit, smoke and spice (white pepper) emerge, typical of Pinot Noir from the Montagne region.
On the palate, this champagne is full-bodied, dynamic and concentrated. Its structure is lively, chiseled, almost classic. The fruitiness fades gently to give way to chocolate and roasted notes. The finish is salty, candied and flavorful, with a smooth and graceful elegance.
To preserve the quality of the 2015 Vintage in magnum, store the bottle horizontally in a cool (10-12°C), dark place away from vibrations. Avoid temperature fluctuations and exposure to light, even indirect. The box provides elegant and useful protection against UV rays.
Thanks to its sunny vintage, powerful structure and magnum format, the 2015 Vintage can be kept until 2035. This large format promotes slower, more harmonious development. In a suitable cellar, it will gain even more complexity and finesse.
The Louis Roederer Vintage 2015 champagne in magnum and box is ideal for festive occasions, a gourmet dinner or as a prestigious gift. It is also perfect for a festive meal, a special birthday or to celebrate a personal or professional achievement.
The 2015 vintage is also the year that the Champagne hillsides, houses and cellars were listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site. This was a nod to the Maison Louis Roederer, based in Reims, in the heart of Champagne, and gives this cuvée a strong symbolic dimension. A vintage that celebrates both the terroir and the cultural heritage of Champagne.
The price of the Louis Roederer Vintage 2015 in a magnum and gift box is 179,95 €. This price reflects the care taken in selecting the wines, the exceptional nature of the vintage and the magnum format, ideal for special occasions.
