The Louis Roederer Vintage 2015 Champagne in magnum with gift box illustrates the power and concentration of a sunny vintage. This terroir wine, made from the grands crus of Verzy and Chouilly, expresses the juicy richness of the Pinot Noirs of the Montagne de Reims and the luminous tension of the Chardonnays of the Côte des Blancs. In large format, the cuvée gains in amplitude and complexity, while retaining an exemplary mineral energy.
The 2015 Vintage is an expressive, concentrated and structured champagne, faithful to Jean-Baptiste Lécaillon's philosophy: to capture the truth of the vintage while preserving the house signature. It was a spectacular year, marked by a hot, dry summer followed by welcome rains in August, which gave the vines a new lease of life and balance. The harvested grapes were exceptionally ripe, rich in sugars and polyphenols, but supported by intact freshness.
The grapes come from Verzy and Chouilly, two crus emblematic of the Roederer style. In Verzy, the compact chalk soils favor dense and concentrated Pinot Noirs with a firm texture and ripe fruit. In Chouilly, the deeper chalk yields elegant, luminous Chardonnays with tension and finesse. Together, they compose a rich, vertical, and mineral structure typical of the "Montagne" style, balanced by the Côte des Blancs.
34% of the wines are vinified in wood to bring roundness and aromatic complexity. Partial malolactic fermentation (24%) softens the structure without erasing the freshness of the vintage. The final dosage of 8 g/l balances the solar power of 2015 and highlights the chalky tension on the finish. The wine is then aged on lees to reinforce the cohesion and natural smoothness of the juice.
2015 is in line with other hot, dry continental vintages. After a mild, wet winter, the summer was marked by record heat and drought, then welcome rain in August came to "relieve" the vines. This cool, bright end to the cycle preserved the tension and liveliness of the fruit. The grapes were juicy, ripe, and concentrated, offering dense, energetic fruit. The result is a spectacular wine with balance and amplitude.
Intense golden yellow with amber highlights. Fine, lively and regular effervescence. The wine shines with a restrained energy, promising ripe fruit and great depth.
Redcurrant, mirabelle plum, vine peach and smoky notes. With aeration, accents of dried fruit, sweet spices and white pepper appear. Intense and precise, dominated by the signature of Pinot Noir from Verzy.
Full-bodied, concentrated, and vinous. A fleshy texture supported by a finely-grained acidity. The palate evolves towards notes of cocoa beans, roasted fruit, and slightly candied fruit. The salty, long, and sapid finish reveals the concentrated fruit of the vintage in a generous and graceful expression.
The density of the 2015 Vintage pairs well with noble textures and savory dishes: roasted poultry, meaty fish, grilled vegetables. Its salty structure and chalky energy call for precise cuisine, combining power and aromatic accuracy.
Store the 2015 Vintage magnum in its original box, away from light, at a temperature of 10-12°C, with stable humidity around 70%. In large formats, the wine evolves more slowly, gaining complexity without losing its freshness. Avoid any vibration or temperature fluctuations.
Optimal window: 2025–2040. In magnum format, the wine evolves majestically. Within five years, the notes of ripe red fruit and cocoa will blend into a brioche and slightly toasted structure. After 2030, the wine will develop tertiary aromas of hazelnut and golden honey, while retaining a vibrant salinity. This mineral tension will support the balance until 2040, offering a profile that is both full-bodied and crystalline.
Serve at 10°C in tulip glasses. No decanting. Open 15 minutes before serving to allow the wine to release its aromas of spices, dried fruit, and warm chalk. The magnum enhances the texture and prolongs the finish.

The Vintage 2015 blend consists of approximately 70% Pinot Noir and 30% Chardonnay. Around 34% of the wines were vinified in oak, with partial malolactic fermentation at around 24%. The dosage is set at 8 g/l.
This vintage can be enjoyed now but will reach its full potential between 2025 and 2040. In the early years (2025–2028), expect notes of juicy red and yellow fruits; around 2030–2034, the wine will develop nuances of hazelnut, light brioche, and dried fruit; after 2035 until 2040, the saline tension and chalky structure will give the wine greater amplitude while retaining remarkable freshness.
The 2015 Vintage is best served at 10°C in a tulip glass with a moderate opening. Decanting is not recommended. Open about 15 minutes before tasting to release the nuances of spice and warm chalk.
Over time, this champagne will develop a finer, more lasting mousse, its color will evolve towards amber gold, then light copper, and its aromas will shift from ripe fruit to dried fruit and brioche, while maintaining a marked liveliness and a very present mineral base.
