Taittinger's Prélude Grand Cru is made exclusively from grapes grown in vineyards classified as Grands Crus in the Champagne appellation. This blend is made up of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, sourced from the best plots. Chardonnay gives this cuvée remarkable minerality and finesse, while Pinot Noir brings structure and aromatic intensity. Aged for over five years in the cellar, this champagne displays surprising youthfulness and great richness.
Only the juices from the first pressing are used. This allows for a perfect balance between finesse and structure. It also gives this champagne great aging potential. Thanks to its Brut dosage, Prélude Grand Cru reveals an ideal balance between freshness and aromatic expression.
The Prélude Grand Cru has a pale yellow color with silver highlights. The bubbles are fine, forming a creamy and persistent mousse.
The nose is delicate and fresh, with mineral and vegetal aromas and notes of elderflower combined with hintsof spices such as cinnamon.
On the palate, the attack is lively, dominated by citrus notes. It then becomes full and silky, revealing flavors of white peach syrup and offering a long, explosive finish.
