The Prélude Grands Crus cuvée showcases the finest terroirs of the Taittinger house.
To create this cuvée, the cellar master selected only the best plots, all located on Grand Cru terroirs, the highest classification in the Champagne appellation.
The Prélude Grands Crus cuvée is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, and only the cuvées (the first juices from pressing) are used.
With such high-quality grapes, this champagne is made for aging and the slow development of its aromas.
The Prélude Grands Crus Taittinger cuvée has a bright, pale color with silvery highlights. Its bubbles are fine and form a superb stream of bubbles.
The first nose reveals a fresh, mineral champagne with a hint of vegetation, which then evolves into something more floral, reminiscent of elderflower.
The attack on the palate is lively and frank, with citrus aromas, then the wine rounds out on the palate, becoming fuller and rounder.
The finish is long, rich, and explosive.
Prélude Grands Crus combines finesse, complexity, and balance.
