Prélude Grand Cru, an exceptional cuvée, is the expression of the finest terroirs of the champagne Taittinger. This bottle stands out for its balance between freshness and complexity, while offering delicate notes of flowers and citrus.
The Prélude Grand Cru cuvée is the result of a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, exclusively from vineyards classified as 100% Grands Crus. Only the cuvées (the first juices from pressing) are used.
With such quality grapes, this is a champagne designed for aging and the slow development of aromas. Spending a minimum of 5 years in the cellar, this cuvée develops a richness of flavors while retaining a brilliant youthfulness. The precise dosage of this cuvée also contributes to the perfect balance between lively acidity and silky smoothness in the mouth.
The robe of the Prélude Grand Cru cuvée is bright, pale, with silver reflections. Its bubbles are fine and form a beautiful train of bubbles.
On the first nose, one discovers a fresh and mineral champagne, with a vegetal touch, which then evolves into something more floral, reminiscent of elderflower.
In the mouth, the attack is lively and frank, with aromas of citrus, then on the palate, the wine becomes rounder and fuller. The finish is long, rich, and explosive.
The price of the bottle of Prélude Grand Cru de Taittinger is 69,95 €. This price reflects the exceptional quality of this Grand Cru champagne, made from the best vineyards in the region. Compared to other cuvées in this category, the Prélude Grand Cru de Taittinger offers a remarkable quality/price ratio, especially considering its longevity in the cellar and its aromatic complexity.
