Prélude Grand Cru, an exceptional cuvée, is the expression of the finest terroirs of Taittinger champagne. This bottle is distinguished by its balance between freshness and complexity, offering delicate notes of flowers and citrus fruits.
The Prélude Grand Cru cuvée is a blend of 50% Chardonnay and 50% Pinot Noir, sourced exclusively from vineyards classified as 100% Grands Crus. Only the cuvées (the first juices from pressing) are used.
With such high-quality grapes, this champagne is made for aging and the slow development of aromas. Spending at least five years in the cellar, this cuvée develops a wealth of flavors while retaining a vibrant youthfulness. The precise dosage of this cuvée also contributes to the perfect balance between lively acidity and silky smoothness on the palate.
The Prélude Grand Cru has a bright, pale color with silvery highlights. Its bubbles are fine and form a superb bubble train.
The first nose reveals a fresh, mineral champagne with a hint of vegetation, which then evolves into something more floral, reminiscent of elderflower.
On the palate, the attack is lively and frank, with citrus aromas, then on the palate, the wine rounds out and becomes fuller and rounder. The finish is long, rich and explosive.
The price of a bottle of Taittinger Prélude Grand Cru is 69,95 €. This price reflects the exceptional quality of this Grand Cru champagne, made from the best vineyards in the region. Compared to other cuvées in this category, Taittinger's Prélude Grand Cru offers remarkable value for money, especially when you consider its longevity in the cellar and its aromatic complexity.
