The Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2009 from Maison Taittinger is a delicious wine, marked by a brilliant chalky acidity and exquisite freshness.
The year 2009 perfectly expresses the continental climate of Champagne. This vintage offers a mature and brilliant Comtes de Champagne Rosé with its unique sunny yet light signature, born from the greatest chalky terroirs of Champagne.
This prestigious cuvée is made from a blend of 30% Chardonnay from the Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs and 70% Pinot Noir from the Grands Crus of the Montagne de Reims. To this blend is added 12% red wine from Bouzy, whose pre-fermentation maceration brings a beautiful tannic structure and notes of red and black fruits.
The bottles are aged for 12 years in the heart of the Gallo-Roman chalk cellars of Saint-Nicaise, allowing this vintage to open up with extraordinary energy and aging potential.
The 2009 vintage has an elegant, brilliant color with an expressive pink hue. A few light amber highlights highlight the extreme finesse and delicacy of the bubbles.
The nose initially reveals notes of ripe red fruit, morello cherry, blood orange and vine peach, all underscored by a highly refined mineral touch. The bouquet then opens up to more indulgent notes of stewed wild strawberries and candied citrus fruit.
On the palate, the attack is extremely fruity, fine and precise. Tightened by a brilliant chalky acidity and exquisite freshness, the palate stretches out in beautiful aromatic purity, reflecting the liveliness of this Comtes de Champagne Rosé.
This Comtes de Champagne Rosé 2009 from the House of Taittinger is the champagne par excellence for the art of fine dining, and will accompany pure and delicate dishes to perfection.
