Bollinger Special Cuvée is an iconic champagne. Made primarily from Pinot Noir grapes, it is distinguished by its aromatic richness and beautiful complexity. This bottle is ideal as an aperitif or to accompany gourmet dishes.
Special Cuvée champagne is made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay, and 15% Meunier. Over 85% of the grapes used come from Grands and Premiers Crus vineyards, which is a guarantee of quality. Only the cuvée, or first pressing, is used in the production of this champagne, guaranteeing its purity and unique character.
The Special Cuvée is aged in the cellar for nearly three years, more than twice the time required by the Champagne appellation. This long rest in the cellar allows the wine to develop all its complexity and depth. The blend gives pride of place to reserve wines, some of which have been kept in magnums for 7 to 15 years. The dosage is moderate, at 6 to 7 grams per liter, ensuring a perfect balance between freshness and structure.
The Special Cuvée Bollinger has an intense golden color, indicative of the majority presence of Pinot Noir. Its effervescence is particularly fine.
The nose reveals remarkable aromatic complexity, with aromas of ripe fruit and spices, as well as a hint of candied citrus.
On the palate, there is a remarkable balance between structure, length and liveliness. The mid-palate reveals aromas of white fruit, brioche and spices.
The price of a bottle of Bollinger Special Cuvée is 59,95 €. This price reflects the exceptional quality of this champagne, which is mainly composed of reserve wines stored in magnums. The elegance of the Special Cuvée makes it a highly prized champagne, appreciated by amateurs and connoisseurs alike.
