Description

The Special Cuvée, here in a jeroboam in its own wooden case, is the purest expression of the style of Bollinger, one of the oldest established champagne houses.

The blend is of remarkable regularity and distinguishes itself from other champagnes by the addition of 10% of reserve wine which has been fermented in oak barrels, giving it a vinous personality unique to Bollinger.

Few of the houses in Champagne can match the impeccable reputation of Bollinger whose serious approach and reliability have been major assets since the beginning of the XIXth century, and the Special Cuvée demonstrates this.

A blend largely dominated by Pinot Noir (minimum 60% ) from several vintages, with its tight strength and superb freshness, it has become the reference for the ‘simple’ non-vintage brut with great character and power of seduction.

The Bollinger Special Cuvée is beautifully pale gold with fine, generous bubbles.

Superbly aromatic with fruit notes of apple, ripe apricot, citrus, and toasted bread, brioche and hazelnut.

Finesse and freshness are brought by the Chardonnay and smoothness and body offered by the Pinot Noir.

The final is long, fresh and agreeable.
