Bollinger's Special Cuvée in magnum and case is made from a blend of 60% Pinot Noir, Bollinger's signature grape variety, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. This blend offers a perfect balance between power and freshness. Over 85% of the grapes come from Grands and Premiers Crus, guaranteeing impeccable quality. The champagne is vinified with reserve wines, some of which are kept in magnums for 7 to 15 years, giving the cuvée exceptional depth and maturity.
The maturation in the cellar lasts more than three years, well beyond the appellation requirements, allowing the wine to develop remarkable complexity. The dosage remains moderate, with only 6 to 7 grams per liter, thus preserving the natural balance between liveliness and roundness. The magnum of Special Cuvée is presented in an elegant case, providing the perfect setting for this timeless cuvée.
The Bollinger Special Cuvée magnum is distinguished by its pale golden yellow color, illuminated by fine bubbles that testify to the quality of the wine.
The nose is rich and complex, revealing aromas of ripe apple and candied citrus, accompanied by notes of brioche, toast, and hazelnuts.
On the palate, the champagne is vinous, marked by a beautiful structure. The Chardonnay brings finesse and liveliness, while the Pinot Noir gives it depth and fullness. Flavors of ripe fruit and spices linger on the palate for a long finish.
The magnum format, with a capacity of 1.5 liters, offers several advantages for champagne lovers. Thanks to its larger volume, champagne ages more slowly in a magnum, allowing the aromas to develop in a more harmonious and subtle way. In addition, the low proportion of air in the bottle ensures that the wine's qualities are better preserved. The magnum is also ideal for large celebrations, as it serves around 12 glasses. Finally, it always impresses with its majestic appearance and adds a touch of prestige to any occasion.
The price of a magnum of Bollinger Special Cuvée in a gift box is 134,95 €. This price reflects the remarkable quality of the grapes, as well as all the work and expertise of the Bollinger house.
Champagne connoisseurs are unanimous: Bollinger Special Cuvée in magnum format is appreciated for its aromatic complexity and long finish. Its structure, marked by Pinot Noir, and its ripe fruit aromas make it a benchmark in the world of non-vintage champagnes. Find all customer feedback on Bollinger Special Cuvée reviews.
