The Bollinger Special Cuvée in magnum format is a must-have among the great Champagne cuvées. Its magnum format magnifies this iconic cuvée, offering even more richness and aromatic complexity. Made primarily from Pinot Noir, this champagne seduces with its perfect balance, depth, and liveliness.
The Special Cuvée in magnum is the result of a precise blend: 60% Pinot Noir, 25% Chardonnay and 15% Meunier. Over 85% of the grapes come from Grands and Premiers Crus, the finest terroirs in Champagne. Only the first pressing, known as the "cuvée," is used to make this champagne. These juices from the beginning of the pressing are the purest but also the most intense.
The Special Cuvée is aged in the cellar for nearly three years, allowing the cuvée to develop beautiful complexity and aromatic depth. The reserve wines, some of which are kept in magnums for seven to 15 years, add an extra dimension to the blend. The Special Cuvée thus offers many facets on the palate. With a dosage of 6 to 7 grams per liter, this cuvée perfectly combines freshness and structure.
The Bollinger Special Cuvée in magnum has an intense golden color, characteristic of the predominance of Pinot Noir. Its fine, persistent bubbles add a touch of elegance to this exceptional cuvée.
The nose reveals a complex aromatic palette, with aromas of ripe fruit, brioche, and subtle notes of spices and candied citrus.
On the palate, the champagne offers a beautiful structure with remarkable length. The aromas of white fruit, accompanied by spicy notes, blend into an elegant and persistent finish.
The magnum, with its 1.5-liter capacity, offers several advantages for champagne. Firstly, the volume of air in proportion to the wine is lower, allowing for slower and more harmonious aging. This promotes greater aromatic complexity and preserves freshness for longer. In addition, the magnum format is perfect for special occasions, adding a touch of prestige and conviviality to the tasting experience. It is also considered one of the best formats for storing champagne.
The price of a magnum of Bollinger Special Cuvée is 132,95 €. This price reflects the expertise of the Bollinger house, the exceptional quality of the grapes, and the complexity of the blend. The magnum format adds a prestigious dimension, ideal for grand celebrations or champagne collectors.
Champagne lovers praise the Special Cuvée in magnum for its aromatic richness and balance. The long finish, fine bubbles, and intense aromas of ripe fruit make this cuvée a true must-try. Check out our customer reviews to find out more.
