Anyone know the Veuve Clicquot Champagne House ? A prestigious brand, this great champagne house dedicates part of its research to the design of its packaging and regularly gives rise to great ideas.

To anticipate the market for our favorite sparkling elixir, during the feast of lovers, Valentine's Day, the House of Champagne Veuve Clicquot presents a new limited collection: the Sakura Collection Veuve Clicquot Rosé, available from early February 2010.

Champagne and Sakura: bubbles in the Rising Sun

In Japan, the lovers' day is an unmissable event! And for those who know Japanese fanaticism for the Sakura - which means cherry blossom and symbolizes the renewal of life - the meeting of the two was expected by lovers of romance and bubbles.
The spring period in Japan is also the period of holidays (Golden Week) and festivals, with OHanaMi, which celebrates the flowering and its evolution. In the past, the quality of cherry blossoms was an indicator of the quality of harvests and therefore of the survival of the Japanese people. Moreover, it is always an event followed body and soul by all Japanese generations.

Spring design

The collection's Sakura floral design is hand signed by Atelier LZC. Founded in 2001 by designers Vanessa Lambert, Barbar Zorn and Michaël Cailloux, Atelier LZC designs on orders for major brands, either sets, illustrations or exclusive collections of objects or textiles. The obvious sophisticated simplicity of the Sakura (of the cherry blossom) matches and harmonizes perfectly with the stylized design, which offers a lively, light, airy and very poetic line, like Japanese prints (Ukiyo- e).

A box of brut all-terrain champagne !

The Sakura Box Rosé therefore contains a half-bottle (37.5cl) of Veuve Clicquot Rosé champagne as well as two plastic flutes. The Ice Jacket, neat and contemporary, gracefully follows the round and feminine shapes of the bottle to its neck. It also keeps champagne at the right temperature for one to two hours.

Not just for Japanese !

This new collection confirms the quality and the monitoring carried out by Maison Veuve Clicquot. The box also contains two latest generation flutes, made of Plexiglas, to allow consumption "outdoors". Yes, because the cherry blossom season in Japan is the best time to party outside, in the colorful parks and magically dressed in their blossoms.

For Europeans who are lucky enough to spend February 14 outdoors, it will be an opportunity to test this brut rosé champagne, in pleasant conditions conducive to the pleasures of the senses. A very nice box, neat and poetic, which will surely please lovers for Valentine's Day 2010! But also for lovers, who wish to harmonize their bubbles with a note of romanticism from the Rising Sun. Here is a great idea that completes my last post about this party for cheap and tasty champagne lovers !
