This 82/15 vintage comes from the Perpetual Reserve of Maison Vazart-Coquart. This magical blend incorporates 34 vintages, from 1982 to 2015, hence the name 82/15. It will delight discerning connoisseurs during special moments.
During each harvest, Jean-Pierre Vazart selects the Chardonnays that best represent the year to include in the Réserve Perpétuelle. This cuvée is therefore the reflection of more than 30 years of life in the Grand Cru vineyards of the Maison located in Chouilly.
The wines are kept in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve freshness and perfectly regulate oxidation. Malolactic fermentation has been carried out, and the dosage is Extra Brut, around 1g/L.
The nose is initially discreet, almost closed, but after a few minutes of opening, it reveals more indulgent notes of dried fruit, vanilla, and white flowers.
On the palate, this is a very fine champagne, offering an aromatic palette ranging from yellow fruits to vanilla, with mineral notes also coming through. The finish is superb, long, full-bodied, and elegant.
This 82/15 cuvée from Maison Vazart-Coquart is the perfect accompaniment to a fillet of sea bass with vanilla and pan-fried porcini mushrooms, warm duck foie gras with cinnamon-scented grapes, or a Paris-Brest pastry.
