The Brut Carte Noire from Thevenet-Delouvin is a Blanc de Noirs Champagne dominated by Meunier and complemented by Pinot Noir. It is a cuvée typical of the Marne Valley terroir where Thevenet-Delouvin is located.
This cuvée combines beautiful fruit notes and a certain richness with the tension and freshness that all fine champagnes should offer.
A cuvée that will appeal both as an aperitif and at the start of a meal.
This is a Blanc de Noirs made from 95% Pinot Meunier and 5% Pinot Noir grown in the Marne Valley.
This blend comes from grapes harvested on both sides of the valley, the right bank (Passy-Grigny) and the left bank (Cerseuil-Troissy).
The cuvée currently on sale is a blend of two vintages.
The Carte Noire cuvée reflects its terroir of origin with its fruitiness and deliciousness. It is classified as Brut.
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasCarte Noire Thevenet-Delouvin is a champagne with a bright golden yellow color and intense highlights. Its bubbles are light and lively.
This is a cuvée with a rich and complex nose, featuring floral notes and a slightly buttery hint of vanilla. It has a very pleasant, fresh, and delicate nose.
On the palate, it has a powerful, rich attack with lovely freshness. The Carte Noire by Thevenet-Delouvin is a winey champagne with notes of crisp fresh fruit, such as pear and green apple.
This wine is perfect for accompanying a meal thanks to its character, power, and freshness. I recommend serving it at a temperature of 9°C.
