R de Ruinart is the star cuvée of the Reims-based champagne house. It is offered here as a duo, with two bottles presented in a magnificent wooden box.
The result of a skilful blend of Chardonnay (40%) and Pinot Noir (60%) grapes, including a quarter of reserve wine, R de Ruinart is a golden, lively and fruity champagne with subtle aromas of white fruits, making it an excellent aperitif and the ideal accompaniment to a champagne meal.
R from Ruinart champagne has a bright, clear yellow color with golden highlights and beautiful sparkle.
Its effervescence is sustained, the cordon is very present and the bubbles are lively and fine.
On the nose, this cuvée is fresh and fruity, with notes of white fruits, mainly pear, and hints of dried fruits (hazelnut and almond).
There are also notes of white flowers (acacia, hawthorn, wild rose) and a hint of brioche and butter. The attack on the palate is beautifully lively.
This is a well-balanced, round and full-bodied wine with ripe fruit aromas (Reine-Claude plum and white peach).
The finish is beautifully persistent.
