Perrier-Jouët's Grand Brut is the symbol of elegance and finesse that characterizes this historic house. With its floral notes and silky texture, it is a perfect cuvée for both an aperitif and to accompany a meal.
Grand Brut is a blend of 40% Pinot Noir, 40% Pinot Meunier and 20% Chardonnay. The grapes come from around fifty carefully selected vineyards, including Chouilly, Avize, and Cramant on the Côte des Blancs for the Chardonnays, and Verzy, Verzenay, and Ambonnay on the Montagne de Reims for the Pinot Noirs. Pinot Meunier from Dizy and Damery in the Marne Valley add fruity aromas. With a dosage of between 8 and 10 g/L and a minimum of three years' aging in the cellar, this cuvée offers remarkable balance.
The Grand Brut dates back to 1846, when Perrier-Jouët launched the first brut champagne in history, with a lower dosage than was standard at the time. This innovative philosophy continues today, with an emphasis on the quality of the grapes rather than the addition of sugar.
Le Grand Brut has a brilliant golden color with green highlights and a string of fine, persistent bubbles.
On the nose, this cuvée is very expressive, with floral notes of acacia and hawthorn, complemented by aromas of pear, grapefruit, and white peach.
On the palate, the attack is lively and round. Flavors of apple, pineapple, and citrus harmonize with a lingering finish marked by brioche notes and great generosity.
The price of a bottle of Grand Brut Perrier-Jouët is 46,90 €. This champagne offers excellent value for money, combining a beautiful aromatic palette with great elegance. Its consistent quality makes it a favorite choice for champagne lovers.
Champagne lovers praise the Grand Brut cuvée for its finesse and perfect balance. It is often appreciated for its versatility, pairing well with everything from aperitifs to more complex dishes. Read reviews of the Grand Brut Perrier-Jouët cuvée to discover the impressions of connoisseurs.
To preserve the qualities of Grand Brut, store the bottles horizontally in a dark cellar at a stable temperature between 42°F and 50°F. This champagne is ideal for drinking within 4 to 6 years, but can be kept longer for enthusiasts looking for more complex aromas.
The Perrier-Jouët style is resolutely marked by elegance and floral richness. Under the direction of cellar master Séverine Frerson, this cuvée perfectly embodies the brand's philosophy.
