Mumm's Cordon Rouge is the house's most famous cuvée. This champagne combines fruitiness, richness, and freshness, making it the perfect aperitif.
Made from a blend of more than 77 crus from all the great terroirs of Champagne, Cordon Rouge Mumm gives pride of place to Pinot Noir (45%), which brings structure and power, while Chardonnay (30%) adds finesse and elegance, and Pinot Meunier brings fruitiness and roundness.
This champagne has a golden color, sparkling and animated with fine bubbles.
Cordon Rouge Mumm offers a nose with notes of fresh fruit, white and yellow peaches, and apricots, as well as hints of exotic fruits. After a few moments, this cuvée opens up to more indulgent notes of vanilla, caramel, brioche, and honey.
On the palate, the attack is fresh and lively, giving way to a round, full-bodied and slightly vinous wine. The fruity and indulgent aromas discovered on the nose linger on the palate, ending in a long, rounded finish.
