Discover the Grande Réserve from Champagne Gosset, a champagne that perfectly illustrates the expertise and authenticity of this historic house, the oldest wine house in Champagne, founded in 1584. This cuvée is a true masterpiece of winemaking, combining tradition and innovation to offer a unique tasting experience.
The Gosset house is distinguished by its unique style, characterized by powerful, vinous and balanced champagnes. The Grande Réserve reflects this heritage with an aromatic complexity and elegance that make it a must-try cuvée for champagne lovers.
La Grande Réserve is an exquisite blend of 45% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir and 10% Pinot Meunier. Part of this blend consists of reserve wines that add a beautiful patina. This subtle combination gives this cuvée great personality and perfect harmony. The Pinots bring delicate fruitiness and a robust structure, while the Chardonnay adds freshness and finesse.
At Gosset, winemaking is an art. The wines do not undergo malolactic fermentation, thus preserving their freshness and liveliness. After bottling in the spring following the harvest, the champagnes are aged in cellars for a minimum of four years. This meticulous process allows the rich aromas and silky texture characteristic of Gosset champagnes to develop.
Under the expert guidance of Odilon de Varine, cellar master since 2006, each bottle of Grande Réserve receives meticulous attention. His expertise guarantees consistent quality and a faithful expression of the Gosset style.
The Grande Réserve Gosset has a bright, golden color, enhanced by a fine string of light bubbles, a sign of its elegance and finesse.
The nose is marked by floral and fruity aromas mingled with roasted notes. Hints of jonquil, lime blossom, cherry, and blackberry can be detected. As it warms, the wine reveals aromas of lemon meringue pie, mirabelle plum, and plum, as well as honeyed and toasted notes.
On the palate, the Grande Réserve is full-bodied and concentrated, with aromas of dried fig and candied cherry, followed by notes of toasted almond and biscuit. Its vinous structure is supported by a fine acidity carried by citrus fruits, offering a long and powerful finish.
To fully appreciate the Grande Réserve, it is best served at a temperature of 8 to 10°C. This versatile champagne is ideal as an aperitif, but also pairs perfectly with refined dishes such as gougères, cheese puffs, pâté en croûte, poule au pot, creamy poultry, and cheeses such as Comté or Parmesan.
Choosing Grande Réserve Gosset means choosing a prestigious champagne, crafted with passion and expertise. It is the ideal cuvée for celebrating special occasions or for offering an exceptional gift to a champagne connoisseur.
