      Description

This Dom Pérignon Vintage 2012 reveals a unique structure, unfolding at a steady pace with controlled energy, channeled by acidity and bitterness.

This champagne can only be produced from grapes harvested in a single year, and this commitment to the vintage is absolute.

The year 2012 was characterized by a rainy spring and a gloomy start to summer. But from mid-August onwards, summer settled in Champagne, bringing very dry weather and warm temperatures until the end of the harvest. The 2012 harvest was relatively modest, contributing to the concentration of the wines. The harvest began between September 10 and 26, depending on the terroir, and the grapes tasted very promising, with a balanced tension between freshness and richness.

It takes no less than eight years of aging in the cellars of the House to achieve the aesthetic ideal of Dom Pérignon.

The nose of the 2012 Dom Pérignon Vintage is complex and evolving, blending floral and fruity aromas with vegetal and mineral notes. The bouquet reveals hints of powdery white flowers, apricot, mirabelle plum, rhubarb and mint, as well as minerality, ash and white pepper.

On the palate, the wine vibrates quickly, the effervescence reveals itself and the sensation is invigorating. The finish tightens and leaves a mark of ginger, tobacco and toast.
