An expressive cuvée, magnified by the magnum format
Brut Réserve in magnum is made from more than 60 carefully selected crus from across the Champagne region, with particular attention paid to three iconic villages:
- Oger – Grand Cru of the Côte des Blancs, renowned for its full-bodied and elegant Chardonnays.
- Ambonnay – Grand Cru from the Montagne de Reims, providing structure and vinosity.
- Verneuil – in the Marne Valley, chosen for its supple and fruity Meunier.
This cuvée is based on a balanced blend:
- 40% Pinot Noir – for power and structure.
- 40% Chardonnay – for elegance and mineral freshness.
- 20% Meunier – for roundness and fruity generosity.
A distinctive feature of this cuvée is the inclusion of 50% reserve wines, some of which have been aged for over 10 years. Vinification is carried out separately for each cru and grape variety, with 5 to 10% of wines aged in wood to bring complexity and a beautiful aromatic patina. Aging in chalk cellars gives this Brut Réserve a remarkable texture and a nuanced expression.
The advantages of magnums
The magnum is the ideal format for enhancing characterful champagnes such as Brut Réserve. Thanks to its volume, the wine evolves slowly, developing finer aromas and a more delicate mousse. It also has better aging potential, while allowing you to serve up to 12 flutes. Presented here in its Charles Heidsieck case, this magnum becomes a true object of sharing and transmission, perfect for grand celebrations.
