The Le Rosé cuvée from Billecart-Salmon is an essential reference among rosé champagnes. It combines elegance, finesse, and remarkable liveliness. With its pale pink color and subtle aromas of red fruits, this champagne is the perfect accompaniment to fine cuisine.
This cuvée is a blend of 45% Chardonnay, 35% Pinot Noir, and 20% Meunier. The grapes come mainly from the Montagne de Reims and the Coteaux Sud d'Épernay. Some of the Pinot Noir is vinified as red wine to give the champagne its subtle nuances and structure. Vinification takes place in stainless steel vats at low temperatures, preserving the freshness and delicate aromas. Maturation on lees lasts 36 months, a process that takes place in the Billecart-Salmon cellars and allows the aromas to gain complexity. This also enhances the harmony of the wine. The dosage is Extra Brut, emphasizing the purity and balance of the cuvée.
The Rosé reveals a bright pale pink color, adorned with persistent effervescence.
Its delicate nose exudes aromas of red berries, such as strawberry and raspberry, combined with floral notes and citrus zest.
On the palate, this cuvée offers a creamy, smooth texture with flavors of wild strawberries and a slightly raspberry finish. The balance between freshness and sweetness is remarkably precise.
