The vintages of the Clicquot-Ponsardin house

A dense, tight range under the leadership of Pinot Noir, this is how we could define the vintages of the Veuve Clicquot house. At Clicquot the range is posed with perfect symmetry to consumers. Thus the brut, the vintage, La Grande Dame, and the Cave Privées are available in rosé champagne. A pyramid-shaped range that requires great vigilance when developing. And for each harvest, the objective is the same: to produce as a priority the Brut Carte Jaune, the house's flagship vintage. It is only after the blend of this cuvée is stopped that the house oenologists and Cellar Master Dominique Demarville look to see if there is enough quality to make a vintage.

The art of blending Clicquot champagnes

The very essence of Champagne wine, blending is an art particularly mastered by the Veuve Clicquot house. Each year the blend of cuvées evolves in a different proportion of the vintages, on the other hand the proportion of the grape varieties remains relatively stable, always with a dominant Pinot Noir. To ensure the durability of the style, Veuve Clicquot champagne has a large collection of reserve wines, some over 20 years old. They are kept by origin of the terroir and by type of grape variety, which makes it possible to play when blending the brut champagne with an immense palette of flavors and styles. As Dominique Demarville says, "reserve wines are the spices that allow the blend to be completed and set the style".

Millions of bottles of champagne

To respect the blend decided by the Cellar Master and to preserve the style, Veuve Clicquot champagne has an immense vat room which offers the possibility of working in 4 vats 25,000 hl, or the equivalent of 3 million bottles !

The Brut Carte Jaune Veuve Clicquot

The house defines its style through its entry-level champagne. Brut Veuve Clicquot champagne alone embodies the brand's philosophy and concentrates all the efforts of the cellar master.

The Brut Rosé Veuve Clicquot

Once again in the range after a long eclipse, the Rosé Veuve Clicquot plays on greed and finesse to assert its character.

The Brut Vintage Veuve Clicquot

A little set aside for the benefit of La Grande Dame, the vintage champagne Veuve Clicquot is making a comeback within the Reims house where it will become more exclusive and more assertive.

The Brut Rosé Vintage Veuve Clicquot

For many years, rosé champagne was necessarily vintage at Veuve Clicquot. Experience and know-how that make Rosé Millésimé Veuve Clicquot a must !

The Grande Dame Veuve Clicquot

Launched in 1972 to celebrate the bicentenary of the house and pay tribute to Barbe-Nicole Clicquot-Ponsardin, La Grande Dame Veuve Clicquot is one of these very prestigious cuvées.

La Grande Dame Rosé Veuve Clicquot

It was not until many years before the house's prestige cuvée experienced a rosy variation. Highly rewarded patience: La Grande Dame Rosé Veuve Clicquot is the house's finest cuvée.
