Rosé Vinothèque MV16 by Veuve Fourny & Fils is a unique collector's cuvée. It is a testament to the craftsmanship of this family-run Champagne house based in Vertus, in the Côte des Blancs region of France. Aged for over 20 years on its lees, this extra-brut rosé champagne reveals remarkable complexity and astonishing freshness.
Cuvée Rosé Vinothèque MV16 comes from the finest Premier Cru terroirs in Vertus. This champagne is mainly based on the 2000 harvest, enhanced by reserve wines carefully preserved in small oak barrels. A refined blend of Chardonnay, white Pinot Noir and a touch of red Pinot Noir gives this cuvée its subtle, delicate rosé character.
The grapes come from vines with an average age of 40 years, planted on rendzine soils over chalk. Our viticulture is respectful of the environment, and our winemaking process favors the natural expression of the juices: first press, 7 months on lees, minimal use of sulfur, no filtration.
Rosé Vinothèque MV16 was aged for 21 years on lees, in magnum, in the estate's historic 19th-century cellars. This slow maturation at constant temperature gives the wine incomparable complexity, finesse and structure. The extra-brut dosage (3 to 4 g/l), based on grape sugar, underlines the purity and balance of this rare cuvée.
Luminous light pink, slightly coppery, with a fine, elegant effervescence.
The nose opens with notes of subtle citrus, delicate red fruits, dried flowers and sweet spices, with a distinctive saline touch.
The palate is both fresh and complex, with an ample texture and a taut finish, marked by a beautiful chalky minerality and persistent notes of dried fruit and candied citrus zest.
The Cuvée Rosé Vinothèque MV16 Veuve Fourny is a rarity, destined for collectors and lovers of very long-aging champagnes. The price of this exceptional bottle is 59,95 €, reflecting its exceptional ageing and unrivalled finesse.
This cuvée can be enjoyed now, or kept for several years in good conditions. Serve between 10 and 12°C in a tulip-shaped glass to reveal all its aromas. The Mytik Diamant cork guarantees a flawless, cork-taste-free experience.
