The Rosé Vinothèque MV15 from Maison Veuve Fourny is a rosé champagne made mainly from the 2015 vintage, enhanced by reserve wines aged in barrels.
The year 2015 was perfectly in line with the continental trend of the decade, with a mild, wet winter and a hot, dry summer. Thanks to a cool end to the summer, the grapes ripened to produce juicy, ripe, concentrated grapes, resulting in a spectacular vintage.
This rosé champagne is a blend of Chardonnay and Pinot Noir white wines and Pinot Noir red wine, mainly from the 2014 harvest. The grapes are harvested from vines planted over 40 years ago in the Vertus vineyard, a commune classified as Premier Cru in the Côte des Blancs and a terroir renowned for its high-quality grapes with citrus notes.
This cuvée is vinified in barrels with minimal use of sulfur. It has been aged for four years in the cellars of the House before being disgorged and dosed Extra-Brut at 3 g/L to preserve the wine's elegance and tension.
Rosé Vinothèque MV15 reveals a subtle nose with hints of red fruits, strawberry, raspberry, and blood orange. It is a balanced, energetic, and creamy champagne with a delicate finish.
