The Brut Rosé magnum draws its structure and character from a rigorous blend of 50 to 60 carefully selected crus. Inspired by the iconic style of the Brut Carte Jaune, this cuvée combines 44 to 48% Pinot Noir, 25 to 29% Chardonnay and 13 to 18% Meunier. Reserve wines from five to six different harvests are added in proportions ranging from 25% to 35%, and up to 40% to maintain consistency. These reserve wines, sometimes aged for up to nine years, contribute unique aromatic depth. Finally, the addition of 12% red Champagne wines gives this rosé its bright color and distinctive aromatic profile. The blend is completed with a dosage of 10 g/l for a perfectly balanced finish.
The Brut Rosé in magnum has an elegant color with bright pink highlights, signaling its fresh aromatic palette.
The nose reveals an explosion of fresh red fruits, such as strawberry, raspberry and cherry, supported by notes of dried fruit and pastries, including hints of brioche and toasted almonds.
On the palate, the Brut Rosé offers a fresh and lively attack, giving way to a full-bodied and indulgent texture. The finish lingers with a delicate mineral touch, bringing finesse and complexity.
The magnum offers undeniable advantages for the storage and tasting of champagne. Thanks to a reduced air/wine ratio, aging in magnums is slower and more harmonious, preserving freshness while accentuating the complexity of the aromas. This generous format is ideal for sharing and special celebrations. It serves approximately 15 flutes.
The price of a magnum of Brut Rosé Veuve Clicquot is 124,95 €. This price reflects not only the quality of the carefully selected grapes, but also the meticulous expertise that characterizes Clicquot champagne.
Champagne lovers praisethe elegance and generosity of this cuvée. They particularly appreciate the balance between fruity flavors and lively freshness, which makes it an ideal choice for special occasions. Find more reviews of the Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé magnum.
To fully enjoy the Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé magnum, it is recommended to store it in a cellar at a stable temperature of 42°F to 50°F and away from light. Although this champagne can be enjoyed young, it has an aging potential of up to 7 years, allowing it to gain complexity over time.
The Veuve Clicquot style is based on Pinot Noir, which is particularly present in this Brut Rosé. It plays an essential role in the Clicquot signature, bringing structure and depth to the cuvées, while Chardonnay ensures finesse and freshness.
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasVeuve Clicquot Brut Rosé has a pretty orange-pink color with slightly coppery highlights. It has a beautiful brilliance. Its bubbles are fine and light, delicate and regular.
On the nose, this champagne is very fruity, with notes of red berries, wild strawberries, blackberries, and morello cherries. Some very fresh citrus aromas round out this beautiful aromatic palette. It has a very indulgent nose.
On the palate, Veuve Clicquot Brut Rosé is very pleasant thanks to its smoothness and freshness. The mid-palate is well-structured and dense, bringing length and character. Beautiful aromas of very fresh, crisp red fruits and slightly salty notes on the finish round out this beautiful champagne and add a touch of freshness.
This is a champagne that I recommend serving as an aperitif at a temperature of 8° to 9°C.
