The 2017 Grand Bouquet vintage by Jean-Pierre Vazart is a Blanc de Blancs champagne that expresses both freshness and power.
This cuvée is made with Chardonnays from two 43-year-old plots, "Mont Aigu" and "La Cerisière," planted on the Grand Cru terroir of Chouilly. This commune in the Côte des Blancs is renowned for the finesse, purity, and high quality of its grapes.
In order to preserve all the freshness of the terroir, the wine was vinified and aged in stainless steel vats, with a low dosage of 2 g/L. It was then aged for six years in the cellars of the House to develop its broad aromatic bouquet.
Grand Bouquet 2017 has a deep golden color with fine, lively bubbles.
The nose reveals voluptuous notes of exotic flowers, spices, dried fruit and a hint of citrus.
The palate is creamy and fruity, supported by an incisive freshness and great liveliness. The finish is long and persistent.
This 2018 Grand Bouquet cuvée from Maison Vazart-Coquart is a generous, powerful, expressive champagne that pairs beautifully with sushi, lobster, or crab.
