2002 was the first vintage of the 21st century for Salon, a very special champagne house that only produced 37 vintage champagnes during the whole of the previous century. It goes without saying that the Salon vinotheque is composed uniquely of exceptional cuvees !

2002 was one of the most prodigious years in Champagne, with its perfect climatic conditions creating unsurpassed grape quality with perfect balance between acidity and sweetness.
Salon 2002 is a shimmering pale with nuances of green. Complex aromas of delicate orange blossom, crystallised citrus fruits and little sponge cakes fresh from the oven abound on the nose.
The mouth is persistent, superbly refined and precise accompanied by a fine tension and nervosity.
An excellent pairing for lobster, supreme of Bresse chicken, Carpaccio of hand dived scallops or a truffle risotto.
Salon 2002 can continue to mellow in the cellar to enhance its extraordinary qualities which will evolve and develop for many more years to come.
