Ruinart Blanc de Blancs champagne in magnum format is the iconic cuvée of the Ruinart house, magnified in a generous size. Made exclusively from Chardonnay grapes, this magnum reveals all the freshness, elegance, and roundness characteristic of this flagship grape variety. Its fruity notes and aromatic complexity are the perfect accompaniment to an aperitif or a refined meal.
Ruinart Blanc de Blancs in magnum symbolizes Ruinart's passion for Chardonnay. It comes from around thirty carefully selected crus, mainly located in the Côte des Blancs terroirs. The grapes are meticulously sorted during the harvest to select only the best. Alcoholic fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the purity and liveliness of the Chardonnay. Malolactic fermentation is then carried out to soften the wines and give them a creamy texture. After 2 to 3 years of aging in the cellar, the Blanc de Blancs magnum acquires a unique aromatic complexity, characterized by a subtle dosage of 7g/L, which perfectly balances the freshness and roundness of this cuvée.
On the eye, the brilliant color of Ruinart Blanc de Blancs in magnum stands out with a beautiful bright gold hue, enriched with subtle green highlights, a sign of the wine's youth and freshness. The magnum format accentuates the finesse of the bubbles, which form a persistent cordon, adding a touch of sophistication to each flute.
The nose of this champagne is intense and refined, revealing aromas of fresh fruit such as green apple and apricot as soon as it is opened. As it breathes, floral notes and a hint of sweet spices emerge, bringing additional aromatic complexity that evolves beautifully over time.
On the palate, Ruinart Blanc de Blancs champagne in magnum offers a texture that is both enveloping and delicate, with a creamy effervescence. The delicious notes of lemon, grapefruit and exotic fruits are supported by a lively freshness. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a vibrant impression that lingers pleasantly on the palate.
The magnum format, with its 1.5 liters of champagne, equivalent to two bottles, offers several significant advantages. Firstly, due to its larger volume, champagne in magnums ages more slowly, allowing for better preservation of aromas and more harmonious maturation. This format is ideal for special occasions, serving around 12 glasses, perfect for celebrations and festive events. What's more, a magnum on the table always makes an impression, adding a touch of prestige and generosity to any reception.
The price of a magnum of Blanc de Blancs Ruinart champagne is 209,95 €.
