Oenophile 1er Cru 2008 is a special cuvée in the Gimonnet range. It's a non-dosage champagne, a blend of the estate's finest crus, those from the noblest origins, capable of delivering great complexity.
Cuvée Oenophile 2008 is a Blanc de Blancs champagne, made from a blend of Chardonnays 34% from the Grand Cru terroir of Cramant, 33% from Chouilly Grand Cru, 10% from Oger Grand Cru and 23% from the 1er Cru terroir of Cuis.
This champagne is aged in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats for 8 months before bottling and ageing in the Gimonnet cellars.
It's a Cuvée Nature, with no dosage, where only the nobility of the terroir expresses itself, carried by the vintage. The 2008 vintage was one of the finest in Champagne in recent years.
A great year and a great terroir could only give birth to a great champagne.
