The production of Philipponnat's Royale Réserve Brut champagne

Royale Réserve Philipponnat is a blended champagne that showcases the exceptional terroirs of Champagne:

      • 65% Pinot Noir: mainly from Mareuil-sur-Ay, it gives the wine its structure and vinous character, with intense red fruit notes.
      • 30% Chardonnay: grown on the Côte des Blancs, it brings freshness, elegance and a subtle minerality.
      • 5% Pinot Meunier: grown in the Marne Valley, it rounds out the blend and adds a touch of suppleness and indulgence.

This champagne is made exclusively from the first pressing of the grapes, guaranteeing optimal quality raw materials. Traditional winemaking is carried out with particular care to avoid premature oxidation. Partial malolactic fermentation is practiced to preserve freshness while gaining suppleness. The reserve wines, which represent 20 to 30% of the blend, are aged in wood and kept according to the perpetual reserve method, giving the champagne remarkable complexity and aromatic richness. After blending, the champagne is aged on its lees for three years, well beyond the minimum requirement, at a constant temperature of 12°C. Finally, the moderate dosage of 8 g/l allows the purity of the wine to shine through without masking its character.
