Royale Réserve Philipponnat is a blended champagne that showcases the exceptional terroirs of Champagne:
This champagne is made exclusively from the first pressing of the grapes, guaranteeing optimal quality raw materials. Traditional winemaking is carried out with particular care to avoid premature oxidation. Partial malolactic fermentation is practiced to preserve freshness while gaining suppleness. The reserve wines, which represent 20 to 30% of the blend, are aged in wood and kept according to the perpetual reserve method, giving the champagne remarkable complexity and aromatic richness. After blending, the champagne is aged on its lees for three years, well beyond the minimum requirement, at a constant temperature of 12°C. Finally, the moderate dosage of 8 g/l allows the purity of the wine to shine through without masking its character.
The color of the Royale Réserve Philipponnat cuvée reveals a deep gold with slightly amber highlights. A delicate and persistent effervescence brings a beautiful visual liveliness.
The nose reveals a refined bouquet combining white flowers, toasted bread and a hint of honey. With aeration, notes of red fruits and citrus enrich the aromatic palette.
On the palate, this champagne reveals a vinous and fruity attack, dominated by redcurrant and raspberry. There is a perfect balance between freshness and vinosity, with a long, delicately brioche finish.
Giving a magnum of Royale Réserve Philipponnat in a gift box is a choice of excellence. Its prestigious format and extended aging make it an ideal champagne for special occasions and memorable celebrations.
The name "Royale Réserve" echoes the history of the Philipponnat family, official suppliers to Louis XIV and leading figures in Champagne for several centuries. A heritage that can be found in every bottle.
Stored in a cool, dark cellar, this magnum can age for at least 5 years, developing even more complex aromas and a silkier texture.
The price of Royale Réserve Brut Philipponnat in a magnum with case is 94,95 €. This price reflects a rigorous selection of grapes from the best terroirs in Champagne, oak barrel aging that gives it a unique aromatic richness, and prolonged aging on lees that guarantees incomparable complexity and finesse. Its magnum format further enhances its aging potential and balance, making this cuvée an essential choice for lovers of great champagnes.
Connoisseurs praise its finesse and power. It is often described as a refined champagne, ideal for accompanying any meal. For more detailed reviews, see Reviews of Philipponnat's Royale Réserve Brut.
