The 2013 Belle Époque vintage from Perrier-Jouët is a champagne of remarkable elegance. It is an ideal magnum for special occasions and moments of celebration.
This cuvée is composed of 50% Chardonnay, 45% Pinot Noir, and 5% Pinot Meunier, sourced from the best vineyards in the Champagne region. The grapes come from prestigious terroirs such as the Côte des Blancs for the Chardonnay, which brings finesse and freshness, and the Montagne de Reims for the Pinot Noir, which offers structure and complexity. Vinification takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel vats to preserve the aromatic purity of the grape varieties. After blending, the wine is aged for around nine years on lees in the cellars of the house, developing complexity and depth. The dosage is Brut, with around 8 grams of sugar per liter, balancing freshness and roundness.
The year 2013 in Champagne was characterized by a late growing cycle, with a long winter and a cool spring. However, a hot, sunny summer allowed the grapes to ripen optimally, reminiscent of the classic vintages of the late 20th century. This combination of climatic conditions favored the production of wines that are both fresh and structured, perfectly reflecting the Champagne terroir.
La Belle Époque 2013 has a clear color with subtle golden highlights and a fine, persistent effervescence.
The nose reveals delicate aromas of white flowers, such as hawthorn and honeysuckle, mingled with notes of citrus and white fruits such as pear and peach.
On the palate, the attack is lively and elegant, offering a silky texture. The floral and fruity flavors linger, supported by a refined minerality and a long, fresh finish.
The price of a magnum of Perrier-Jouët Belle Époque 2013 is 374,95 €. This is a cuvée of exceptional quality, made from selected grapes and unique expertise. For enthusiasts looking for an exceptional champagne, the magnum of Belle Époque 2013 offers excellent value for money.
