Radiant, fruity, and flamboyant, Moët & Chandon's Rosé Impérial embodies the most expressive dimension of the house style. Blended around Pinot Noir, this champagne seduces with its bright color, fruity intensity, and subtly spicy finish. An essential rosé, both festive and refined.
Rosé Impérial is the result of a subtle blend of three Champagne grape varieties. It highlights the power of Pinot Noir (40 to 50%), combined with the roundness of Meunier (30 to 40%) and the elegant freshness of Chardonnay (10 to 20%). Depending on the year, 20 to 30% of reserve wines are added to ensure the consistency of the Moët & Chandon style. This champagne has a dosage of 7 g/L, maintaining a beautiful liveliness while highlighting the aromatic richness of the blend. It benefits from 21 months of maturation in the cellar, followed by additional aging after disgorging.
An iconic Champagne house, Moët & Chandon expresses all its mastery of blending and its desire to create accessible, elegant, and generous champagnes in this rosé cuvée. Rosé Impérial perfectly embodies this balance between intensity, freshness, and immediate pleasure.
Bright pink, adorned with amber highlights, underscoring a lively and regular effervescence.
The nose is rich and expressive, marked by fresh red fruits (wild strawberry, raspberry, cherry), enriched with floral notes of rose and hawthorn, and enhanced by a hint of pepper.
The palate is full-bodied, juicy, and dynamic. The attack is fleshy, with strawberry and raspberry, before gaining tension with peach flavors, then ending with a fresh, minty finish punctuated by a spicy touch.
Store the bottle horizontally in a cool place (between 10 and 12°C), away from light and vibrations. Avoid temperature fluctuations and excessive humidity. A natural cellar or a well-regulated electric wine cellar is ideal for preserving the finesse of the wine and its bubbles.
Rosé Impérial is a cuvée to be enjoyed within 3 to 5 years of purchase. With time, its fruity character mellows to give way to more evolved notes of dried fruit, leather, and sweet spices, while retaining a beautiful freshness.
Serve between 42°F and 46°F in a tulip glass or champagne flute. Allow to breathe for a few moments to reveal the wine's full aromatic richness.
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasMoët & Chandon Rosé Impérial has a soft pink color with subtle copper highlights. Its bubbles are delicate and fine, elegantly animating the flute.
Its nose evokes a bouquet of fresh berries and crisp red fruits. After a few seconds, a more intense nose emerges, evoking sweet spices.
The attack is fresh and pleasant, then the champagne unfurls its generous notes of red fruit on the palate. This is a cuvée with beautiful persistence.
This is a wine that I recommend serving at around 9°C with an aperitif, white meat, or a dessert made with red berries.
