The Blanc de Blancs 2006 from José Michel is a delicate champagne full of charm which expresses all the finesse and precision of the southern Epernay terroir.
The house of José Michel is accredited High Environmental Quality, awarded as a result of their efforts to reduce the level of treatments in the vineyard.
Crafted from the best parcels of Chardonnay of Domaine José Michel, it is vinified in stainless steel vats and matured on lies for three months for additional depth and aromatic complexity, and is dosed at 8g/l to create a smooth and gourmand champagne.
Blanc de Blancs 2006 from José Michel is golden in colour and constellated by a multitude of fine bubbles.
The nose opens on notes of yellow fleshed fruits such as peach and apricot which are joined on the second nose by more gourmand notes of freshly baked bread and almond paste.
The palate is fresh and incisive, developing ripe fruit aromas and a finish with a touch of salinity that persists for many long seconds.
