The Brut Nature magnum from Champagne Drappier expresses the purity and elegance of Pinot Noir. With no added sugar, this cuvée reveals striking freshness and marked minerality, ideal for enhancing a seafood platter or as an aperitif.
The Brut Nature magnum is a tribute to Pinot Noir from the Côte des Bar. Made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown in Urville on limestone soils dating back to the Jurassic Kimmeridgian period, Brut Nature has a unique minerality.
" In fact, it was the champagne we drank among ourselves in the evening after a day's work in the vineyards or in the cellar," explains Michel Drappier. " I never thought of marketing it, but one day a sommelier visiting our home came across a bottle and fell in love with it. That's how the story began!"
Champagne Drappier uses a low-pressure plate press to extract only the best juices from the first pressing. Fermentation is carried out using the estate's own organic yeasts. The wine is then aged for 36 months in the bottle, developing beautiful depth and unique finesse.
With no dosage, this cuvée is a pure expression of Pinot Noir, revealing its richness while retaining intense freshness.
The Brut Nature in magnum has a slightly coppery color, illuminated by fine, dynamic bubbles.
On the nose, this cuvée reveals aromas of freshly pressed black grapes, accompanied by notes of red fruits, citrus and white fruits, bringing a vibrant freshness.
On the palate, the attack is full and silky, reminiscent of vine peach pulp. Subtle hints of aromatic herbs emerge in the mid-palate, giving way to a spicy finish of remarkable purity.
The magnum format is often preferred for aging champagnes due to its larger volume, which allows for a slower and more harmonious development of aromas. By preserving freshness and complexity, the magnum guarantees optimal tasting. In addition, it is ideal for special occasions and moments of conviviality, offering a prestigious and generous touch during celebrations.
The price of a magnum of Brut Nature Drappier is 86,95 €. This price reflects the house's commitment to craftsmanship and the exceptional quality of the grapes.
