Drappier'sRosé de Saignée is a powerful champagne. It is a cuvée that offers very pure aromas of red fruits. An ideal champagne to serve as an aperitif or with delicately flavored dishes.
Champagne Drappier's Rosé de Saignée is made exclusively from Pinot Noir grapes grown on the Jurassic Kimmeridgian limestone soils of Urville, in the Aube region. These soils offer a very pronounced mineral richness.
The saignée method is at the heart of this cuvée, with a three-day maceration to fully extract the red fruit aromas and intense color of Pinot Noir. Part of the cuvée is aged in oak casks, which gives it additional complexity. Malolactic fermentation is carried out to bring roundness to the wine. This champagne is low in sulfites and retains all its natural character thanks to a low dosage of 4 g/L.
The Rosé de Saignée cuvée has an intense pink color with bright highlights, reflecting the richness of Pinot Noir.
The nose is bright, dominated by pure aromas of red fruits such as cherry, raspberry and strawberry, with a slight spicy touch.
On the palate, this champagne is structured and silky, with intense red fruit flavors and a slight hint of stone fruit, all balanced by a lovely freshness on the finish.
The price of a bottle of Rosé de Saignée Drappier is 44,50 €. This price reflects the complexity and unique character of this cuvée, obtained using the saignée method, which requires great expertise.
