Diebolt-Vallois certainly produces one of the finest blanc de blancs champagnes. Presented in a magnum bottle, this cuvée showcases all the expertise of Jacques Diebolt, one of the Côte des Blancs' leading experts.
Made from Chardonnay grapes grown in vineyards in Cuis, Chouilly, Epernay, and Cramant, this champagne is distinguished by its freshness and finesse.
The Blanc de Blancs Diebolt-Vallois blends two vintages to achieve a consistent taste and add a touch of complexity.
More refined than the Cuvée Tradition, the Blanc de Blancs has less body but is more subtle, finer and more elegant.
This champagne is for people who know Chardonnay, and I especially recommend it for purists. It's a real aperitif champagne, refreshing when it's hot.
I make it with Grand Cru grapes from the Chouilly terroir and Premier Cru grapes from the Cuis and Epernay terroirs.
Tasting
By Patrick BorrasDiebolt-Vallois Blanc de Blancs has a sparkling golden yellow color. It is a champagne with fine, lively bubbles.
Its nose, typical of Chardonnay, is marked by floral and fruity notes. It is a complex nose, with aromas of citrus and fresh white fruits.
The Diebolt-Vallois Blanc de Blancs has a very pleasant attack on the palate, with fine, delicate bubbles that bring lots of freshness. The fresh fruit notes detected on the nose are also found on the palate.
I really like this Blanc de Blancs, which is rich and well-balanced. I recommend serving it as a cocktail aperitif or with a summer meal. This cuvée should be served at a temperature of 9°C.
