Cuvée William Deutz 2002 reflects the savoir-faire of the famous Champagne house. It's a champagne that's both delicate and rich, benefiting from one of the best vintages of recent years.
Cuvée William Deutz is a tribute to the founder of the house. Only grapes from the best plots are used in its production.
We find 62% Pinot Noir, from the terroirs of Aÿ, Mareuil-sur-Aÿ, Bouzy, Louvois and Ambonnay. The rest of the blend is made up of 27% Chardonnay (Avize, Le Mesnil-sur-Oger and Montagne de Reims) and 11% Pinot Meunier (Pierry and Chatillon-sur-Marne).
This champagne has a golden color with sparkling highlights. Its bubbles are fine and lively.
Cuvée William Deutz 2002 has a delicate, rich and complex nose. The first notes are of flowers and white peaches. On the second nose, there are stronger aromas of honey, spices and candied ginger.
On the palate, the attack is clean and frank. The champagne is full-bodied and rich, with notes of white cherry, vine peach and ripe fruit.
A champagne of magnificent balance, finesse and harmony.
The finish is magnificent, silky, vibrant and persistent.
