Description

The William Deutz cuvée is the most prestigious of the Deutz House. This cuvée pays tribute to the founder of the house and bears his name.

This champagne is a blend of 77% Pinot Noir from Bouzy, Aÿ, Mailly, and Verzenay, 20% Chardonnay from Avize, and 3% Pinot Meunier from Venteuil.

The 2013 vintage was particularly late, but the glorious summer provided maximum sunshine and low rainfall, ideal conditions for the grapes to ripen. The autumn harvest produced elegant wines with a pronounced freshness.

The brilliant color of this cuvée is adorned with delicate golden highlights, supported by a delicate effervescence.

The fine, delicate nose is very expressive and reveals a beautiful aromatic richness of yellow fruits with quince, peach and apricot, enhanced by a touch of honey.

On the palate, the wine is dynamic and fruity. The Pinot Noir announces the structure without detracting from the finesse of the Chardonnay and the suppleness of the Meunier. Fresh, precise and enveloping, this champagne develops pleasant aromas of ripe yellow fruits in harmony with the nose. The mineral finish confirms its magnificent potential.

This 2013 William Deutz cuvée will be at its best with refined and flavorful dishes such as sea bass, veal tartare, and white meats that can be subtly enhanced with exotic flavors. This great champagne will also pair well with delicate and spicy Asian dishes.
