      Description

Cuvée William Deutz 2000 is the iconic cuvee from the house of Deutz. It carries the name of the founder, William Deutz, in homage to him. Blended from 60% Pinot Noir (Aÿ, Ambonnay, Bouzy and Mareuil-sur-Aÿ), and 30% Chardonnay (Aviez, Le Mesnil sur Oger, Chouilly) and 10% Pinot Meunier (Pierry and Montigny-sous-Châtillon), this champagne does honour to an extraordinarily qualitative vintage – 2000.

It is the perfect illustration of the power of Pinot Noir woven with the finesse of Chardonnay, in a vintage characterised by structure and freshness.

Cuvée William Deutz 2000 is crystal clear and golden in aspect. Its rich, powerful and complex nose offers notes of white fruits evolving towards warmly delicious honey, spicy and mocha aromas.

Forthright and taut on the attack, this expressive and gourmand champagne subsequently reveals notes of spices and biscuit, developing generous ripe fruit and light mineral notes in a perfectly harmonious balance.

The sumptuous final is lingering and memorable.
